![]() :: John Rogers e-mail [jirogers@pori.tut.fi] Nordic Encounters I studied ceramics at Derby College of Art between 1973-1976. From 1976-1981 I worked in England as a full time potter producing earthenware tableware. I moved to Finland 1989 were I established a small studio on the Ahlström estate (Noormarkku), producing majolica ware (white tin glaze over red earthenware clay). After two years we moved to new premises were I established a small studio in the out building. Three years ago (1998) I built a wood fired kiln and started to make free standing forms, firing them to 1250-1260C. I have started to experiment with ash glazes, gradually producing a range of stoneware products, ranging from bottle forms to free standing thrown forms. I still continue to produce majolica ware, and enjoy the challenge that comes from both earthenware and stoneware. It is possible to buy my work from my studio: Vanha Vaaasantie 3, 29600 Noormarkku. Since 1999 I have started to exhibit my work in various galleries within Finland. Future
exhibitions are also showing in Finland and England. You can also contact me through email: jirogers@pori.tut.fi Attenzione! Sivut sisältävät kuvia, joidenka lataus voi kestää useita sekunteja riippuen yhteysnopeudestasi, joten kärsivällisyyttä.
